A great place for children to learn, play and interact with others. We operate within Holliston School by parent and teacher cooperation. We are run by an executive formed each year by parent volunteers.
Based on the theory that children learn through play, schedules are designed to balance structured time and free choice, active and quiet times, and child-centred and teacher-directed activities.
In our language-rich environment, children are encouraged to experiment and develop sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.

Preschool Schedule
Depending on attendance demands, we run our preschool classes each school year from mid September to the end of May. We follow the school calendar outlined by the Saskatoon Public School Board.
The 3 year old age group attend Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 4 year old age group attend Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes run from 9 to 11:30am.
Entrance Requirements
Children must be toilet trained and up to date on their immunizations to attend preschool. For student safety, we require any information or documentation as to whether your child has any allergies, other health concerns or special needs.
If your child has been tested or diagnosed with special needs, sharing this information is important to determine the appropriateness of our preschool for placement and to allow our teacher to plan and adapt the program to best meet your child's needs.
Parent Involvement
Parents are an integral part of the day to day operation of the preschool. Parents or family members of each child are required to sign up for two *helper days* per month. Parental assistance permits appropriate adult to child ratios to be maintained and ensures your child receives attention within a reasonable time. It is also a great way to be involved with your child and classmates in this first school experience.
Field Trips
Field trips present a wonderful opportunity to use our skills out in the community. Approximately four field trips are planned for the school year that enhance and extend our classroom learning.
Fees
Two days per week = $57/month
Three days per week = $65/month
* Upon registering your child, we require a non-refundable application fee to hold their spot regardless of the time of year.
Every child deserves the opportunity to attend preschool! Financial assistance may be available for your child. Please enquire and ask for an application. We are pleased to acknowledge the support of the Saskatoon Preschool Foundation and a pleased to participate in their annual raffle ticket fund-raiser (our only fund-raiser).
